'.....the listeners enjoyed a magnificent and, due to their otherness, extremely captivating interpretation at the highest level.' — Rheinische Post (2023)
biography
After winning numerous awards at international contests including the First prize at the Viotti competition in Italy in 2017, Konstantin became a true discovery at the XVI International Tchaikovsky Competition in 2019. Besides the Bronze medal, he also received the title "Artist of Radio Russia" and the Audience Award from the Musical Life magazine. He confirmed his title of the "public favorite" when received the Audience Prize by the F.A.Z. (Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung) at the International German Piano Award that he won in 2022.
'The graduate of the Moscow Conservatory, who won third prize at the Tchaikovsky Competition in 2019, refused any excessive extravagance and played very precisely, contoured and clearly articulated.' — Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (2022)
'...Konstantin Emelyanov is a gem of the 16th International Tchaikovsky Competition. Indeed he makes a difference with his remarkably clever programme, unconventional choice of works, and harmonious interpretations, where technical stability is no obstacle to unconcealed emotions, temperament is curbed by thought, and the intuitive sense of style maintains a perfect balance between the performer's vision and the author's will in every piece. ' — Musical Life magazine
The pianist fascinates the audience and the critics with his distinguished taste for combining musical pieces in his programs. In March 2023, he presented a CD with compositions by Debussy, Prokofiev, and Barber that was released on the Fuga Libera label. It received 5* from Diapason ("Un pianiste de première classe et un interprète qui ose.") and Classica ("Le jeune Konstantin Emelyanov expose un talent indéniable.") magazines and was immediately highly acclaimed by the critics:
'The technical brilliance of Konstantin Emelyanov is not surprising, given his numerous awards, the expressiveness and tonal nuance of his interpretations is impressive. But it is especially the combination of these three works or cycles that makes the CD of the pianist, who was born in 1994 and trained in Moscow and Catania (Sicily), so convincing.'

In February 2024, the Fuga Libera label in collaboration with the International German Piano Award released Konstantin's new CD "Over Time" with the music of Rameau, Bach, and Rachmaninoff.
Konstantin performs all over the world giving recitals in Teatro Carlo Felice in Genova, Seoul Arts Center, National Center for the Performing Arts in Beijing, Bulgaria Hall in Sofia, Casino and Zentrum Paul Klee in Bern, Casals Forum of the Kronberg Academy, Mariinsky Concert Hall, Grand Hall of the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow, Zaryadye Grand Hall, Tchaikovsky Concert Hall.
Konstantin Emelyanov graduated from the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory in the legendary Professor Sergei Dorensky class. To broaden his horizons and explore the different approaches to pianism he spent the season 2017-2018 studying at the Rachmaninov Academy in Catania, Italy, with Professor Epifanio Comis. Since 2022, he has been based in Italian Imola, attending the Senior course at The International Piano Academy ''Incontri col Maestro'' with Professor Boris Petrushansky.

After the captivating performance at the Tchaikovsky Competition Konstantin was immediately signed as a Yamaha Artist and is continuing this collaboration for 5 years.
'But it is when you come to Rachmaninov that Emelyanov's stature and quality become fully apparent ... To say that Emelyanov is a committed artist is to deal in understatement.' — International Piano Magazine

press
"...fait preuve d'une jolie personnalité dans la construction du programme de ce disque carte de visite. Le jeune pianiste russe entremêle en effet trois compositeurs plutôt que de les aligner simplement en forme chronologique : les Variations sur un Thème de Corelli de Rachmaninov s'insèrent ainsi entre la Suite en sol majeur de Rameau et la Suite française en si mineur de Bach, le tout dans une fluidité aux allures d'évidence."
( La Libre Belgique)
"...He has mastered even the most diabolical (often hidden) pitfalls of the famous piano concerto (Rachmaninov third) with flying colors. The pianist, ......who is not obviously trimmed for too big a show effect - he simply lets what is already happening in the score, big and beautiful, happen. There is truth in the music itself"

(Rossiyskaya Gazeta — Russian Daily Newspaper, 2019)
"Konstantin Emelyanov definitely has that lightness of touch Barber asks for, plenty of depth of tone as well ... Good sound, unusual combination of composers and an interesting pianist."

"To create an image of an irresistible rhythmic volition and to show all the components of the boiling rhythmic lava is a task that Konstantin Emelyanov solves brilliantly. [...] He is autonomous, and in a virtuoso sense he is absolute in his interpretation of this unique cycle."
