biography
Born in Paris in 1995, Jean-Paul Gasparian studied at Paris National Conservatoire with Olivier Gardon, Jacques Rouvier, Michel Beroff, Laurent Cabasso, Claire Désert and Michel Dalberto. Jean-Paul has been member of international piano masterclasses with Elisso Virsaladze and Tatiana Zelikman, selected for the Verbier Academy 2014, and Prize Winner of the Salzburg Academy 2010. In 2018, he gratuated from the Royal College of Music in London (Artist Diploma), with Prof. Vanessa Latarche.

He is the winner of the Bremen European Competition 2014 and has been a laureate at many other competitions. He is also the piano Laureate of the Cziffra Foundation Prize 2015.

Jean-Paul Gasparian has played with Orchestras such as the Orchestre National d'Île-de-France, Bremer Philharmoniker, Robert-Schumann Philharmonie, Nordwestdeutsche Philharmonie, Musikkolegium Winterthur, Serbian Radio-Television Orchestra, Montenegrin Symphonic Orchestra, National Chamber Orchestra of Armenia, Orquesta Sinfónica de la Región de Murcia, Orchestre de chambre Nouvelle-Aquitaine, Orchestre de l'Opéra de Rouen, Orchestre de Normandie, Orchestre Symphonique de Caen, performing Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, Liszt, Mendelssohn, Saint-Saëns, Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff and Gershwin concertos.
Jean-Paul has given recitals at important festivals, among them : Festival de la Roque d'Anthéron, Nohant Festival Chopin, Piano aux Jacobins, Flâneries de Reims (broadcasted live on Medici.tv), Printemps des Arts de Monte-Carlo, Festival Radio-France de Montpellier, Festival de Menton, Kissinger Sommer Festival, Schleswig-Holstein Festival, Sommets Musicaux de Gstaad, Armenia International Music Festival and has played in venues such as the Salzburg Mozarteum, Bremen's Die Glocke, Belgrade's Kolarac, Tonhalle Zürich, Hamburg's Laeiszhalle, the Salle Flagey in Brussels, the Salle Molière in Lyon, the Auditorium de l'Opéra de Bordeaux, the Louis Vuitton Foundation (broadcasted live on Radio Classique), the Maison de la Radio, the Salle Cortot and Salle Gaveau in Paris.

In February 2020 he received the Thierry Scherz Prize for the best recital performance at the Gstaad Festival (Switzerland) which offered him the recording of a CD with the Bern Symphony Orchestra, including Rachmaninoff's Concerto n.2. It will be released in March 2022 by Claves Records.
